We’re hearing reports that highly-respected Scottish used car dealer Jim Reid Vehicle Sales has unwittingly been dragged into the fall out of a car sales scam – which serves as a warning to dealers up and down the land.
The crooks are said to have falsely claimed they were based at the Jim Reid outlet in Inverurie as a kind of fake shadow dealership. This saw a false website established borrowing the location details of the real outlet and online advertising for cheap used cars.
