Here at Need To Know Motors we salute Marshall Motor Group for yet again being ranked as one of the Best UK Workplaces for the seventh year in a row – that’s some achievement. Well done, Marshall.
The annual award is the result of independent surveys conducted amongst staff across a whole range of sectors and in all sizes and types of businesses. It takes a lot of effort to get into the rankings and even more to stay there year after year.
Digging down a little we realise this is no mean feat. How do you grow so big (£2.3 billion turnover, 117 franchises, 24 manufacturing brands) and employ so many people (around 4,000) and still be able to be the country’s leading retail place to work? Without alienating staff? While keeping people happy to come to work across the board?
It seems that one of Marshall’s key strengths is colleague engagement and the measurement of their satisfaction levels, something the group has committed to fully. They measure and they respond.
Daksh Gupta, group chief exec, said: “Most importantly, I would like to thank all of our colleagues for making Marshall Motor Group one of the UK’s best places to work.
“Despite the challenges the pandemic has brought to us, our colleagues have worked tirelessly to maintain our team spirit and camaraderie even more than usual to support the business and each other, helping to maintain the strong culture that has built over the years.”
