The SMMT is reporting an upturn in the UK used car market when dealerships re-opened after Lockdown 1, saying over 2,100,000 vehicles changed hands, with an increase of 6.3% during September. Good news, as long as dealers are getting a fair price for their vehicles, of course.
The SMMT also hits us with the bad news: the used car market is still down overall by more than 1 million fewer transactions through the first ¾ of the year, a decline of -17.5%.
