We’ve just ‘enjoyed’ the TopGear.com Electric Vehicle of the Year Awards. That’s right, EVs being lauded by Top Gear. Big style. Who’d have thunk it, huh? Poor old rent-a-gob Clarkson would be foaming at the mouth. Electric vehicles! A whole awards thing about them! And smeared all over with the Top Gear brand!
Hyundai Ioniq 5 got the gong for best looking EV, while the best all-rounder award went to the Polestar 2.
But, this being Top Gear and all that, it was, of course, Porsche that ran away with the ultimate EV of the Year prize for its Taycan Cross Turismo.
And while the new lads (yes, we still consider Flintoff, Paddy and the other one as new) gave it their…very best in terms of starting a sentence and then…waiting to finish it, they’re just not Clarkson, May and Even More Annoying One, are they?
