Polestar has used its platform at the Munich Motor Show to announce that it has ambitions to move into a further 12 global markets in 2022, continuing its worldwide expansion programme.
This will take the Swedish performance outfit into a total of 30 markets by the end next year. It is already in 18.
In a speech not short on understatement, CEO Thomas Ingenlath said: “Growth on this scale is unprecedented and confirms our position as a truly global, pure EV brand.
“Our unique business model has allowed us to develop the manufacturing capacity we need to satisfy demand. Our digital-first approach means we can enter new markets faster.”
And, for those of us not paying enough attention to just how Polestar will affect us all, Ingenlath said: “Crucially, the service network vital to customer peace of mind is already in place.”
Alongside this, Polestar is rapidly expanding its retail locations, with 100 Polestar Spaces and Destinations set to be operational by the end of this year.
