Which? has awarded the full electric Peugeot e-2008 its highly-coveted Best Buy Car status. It’s a pretty major coup for the Peugeot team and comes after the full e-2008 impressed the jurors in a road test that highlighted design, running costs and safety kit as standard.
The e-2008 was only launched last year and is part of Peugeot’s strategy to provide a fully electrified range by 2025.
With a 100kW 136hp electric motor and a 50kWh battery, capable of up to 206 miles of zero emissions range (WLTP) from a single charge, the e-2008’s 100kW rapid charging delivers an 80% charge in just 30 minutes.
Which? Is highly influential amongst consumers. The UK’s largest consumer organisation, it has 1.35 million members and supporters and reports each month on its ‘Best Buy’ products after extensive, independent tests on hundreds of products, from TVs to coffee machines and, of course, cars.
Which? said:“The e-2008 builds on the stylish charm of its combustion counterpart and adds a refined (and potentially very cheap) drive. Its range is adequate for most journeys and there’s plenty of space inside, despite its relatively compact dimensions.”
