Peugeot has opened the order books on its new 408 First Edition, although only a measly 50 units will be available to buy in the UK.
What’s so special? Why such a limited run for us non-Europeans?
The 408 First Edition comes with a plug-in hybrid 225hp powertrain and an enhanced spec based on the GT trim. It’s available for £43,250.
What else do you get for well North of 40 grand?
20” alloys, a 7.4 kW on-board charger; £500 public charging (via Octopus Energy ‘Electroverse’); four years / 40,000 miles service package. Etc etc.
There are plenty of ‘specials’. But it’s still a Peugeot and it’s still £43k.
