English Premier League sponsor Castrol is launching a seven-a-side football tournament for eight teams from workshops and retail partners from across the UK to win the chance to compete at St George’s Park, the official home of England’s national football teams.
Taking place on 22 May, teams will get the chance to be coached by football stars including former Liverpool super striker Emile Heskey, Brighton and Hove Albion’s women’s team manager Hope Powell CBE, and former Middlesbrough player and manager Jonathan Woodgate.
The eight teams will comprise two from the Castrol Service Network, two Castrol retail partners, three from Castrol’s franchised dealer network, and one representing automotive industry charity BEN.
All players will receive a Nike tournament team shirt and goodie bag, with accommodation and food also provided. As if that’s not enough, the winning team will be awarded medals by representatives of the League Managers Association at an awards dinner and enjoy a special guest appearance by Belgium team manager, Roberto Martinez.
