New Cupra Electric Car is ‘Born’

Cupra has started to manufacture its new all-electric car, the Born, at Europe’s largest electric vehicle plant in Zwickau, Germany. The company plans to be fully electric soon.

The company is pinning its hopes on the Born to increase the brand’s market share following its official launch at this week’s Barcelona motor show, Automobile.

Production of the CUPRA Born marks the start of a new era for the brand, which at the 2021 Munich International Motor Show (IAA) announced an electric offensive with the ambition to becoming a fully electric brand by 2030.
