BMW is launching its formidable new £61,000 M2 early next year, which it says builds on its predecessor’s strengths. The six cylinder in-line engine, manual gearbox option, rear-wheel drive and advanced control/operating concept are going to get Beemer fans very excited.
With a maximum output of 460hp – 90hp more than the original BMW M2 – it can come with a bespoke M Race Track Package designed to maximise the performance, including raising the electronically limited top speed of 155mph to 177mph.
The new BMW M2 will be built alongside the new BMW 2 Series Coupé at the BMW Group’s San Luis Potosí plant in Mexico, with the UK launch commencing from May 2023. Prices in the UK will start from £61,495 RRP.
