The Body Coach aka Joe Wicks was undoubtedly one of the hits of lockdown, getting many of us (especially middle-aged mums, apparently) all hot and sweaty with his online workouts. He comes across as a top bloke and now Mini have teamed up with him to do a mini UK tour, promoting the Mini Countryman and raising money for BBC Children in Need.
In total, Joe’s workouts were watched over 100 million times, enabling him to make a charity donation of over £580,000 to the NHS. Top bloke, as we say.
The plan is to keep families moving during the school summer holidays with a six-stop, 549-mile road trip in the Countryman, charging £5 a ticket at each stop to get the full Joe Wicks treatment in a 30-minute workout.
Joe said: “I’m so excited to be taking P.E with Joe on the road with MINI. Millions of families took part from their living rooms during lockdown and it’s going to be amazing to meet some of them in real-life. The workouts are going to be really fun and the locations are all incredible. I can’t wait to see you there.”
