Countdown to What Car? Car of the Year

What Car? has revealed the shortlist of 27 models in contention for its 2022 Car of the Year title.  There’s just a week to go before we know the winners of the best models in 26 vehicle categories, ranging from Small electric car to Performance car, and Family car to Luxury SUV.

What Car? editor Steve Huntingford said: “January, February and March are the peak months for car buying in the UK and, as ever, our awards will give consumers the clarity they need.

“Over the last year we’ve driven hundreds of new cars back to back with their rivals so we can name the very best on sale. And history shows that being named Car of the Year guarantees strong sales for the winning model.”
