News arrives at NTK Motors about yet another caseload of awards for the Beemer*.
Let’s have a look: GQ mag’s EV of the Year; PHEV Manufacturer of the Year at the Green Fleet Awards; and a triple success at Carwow’s Car of the Year Awards!
Oh, and just the four category wins at the Company Car Today 100 Awards. Blimey!
The GQ team awarded the BMW iX its EV of the year even before the car was launched on the market towards the end of this year. And Carwow’s Car of the Year Awards delivered the hat-trick, with the BMW 330e, BMW 4 Series and BMW 5 Series hitting home runs. As if the Beemer needs any more praise, here’s what Carwow editor Mat Watson says: “The BMW 5 Series is just so good at everything it does. It manages to be comfortable and good to drive, on top of which it’s full of the latest tech and is a gorgeous place to spend time.”
But Company Car Today 100 Awards went one better. Four top awards for the brand: BMW 3 Series won the Compact Executive title; the BMW 5 Series and BMW 7 Series grabbed the Executive Luxury and Luxury titles respectively; and inevitably the X5 did a lap of honour with the Premium Large SUV trophy.
Whatever you think of the Beemer (we know they’re a bit Marmite), you can’t quibble with its award-winning start to the year.
