Have you watched a lot of telly during lockdown? Of course you have! And have you noticed the huge amount of car and car-related adverts? There seem to be more than ever, building up a demand that we hope will spill over like a tidal wave of buying in April.
Well we reckon this is what’s behind the glut of car companies getting into bed with football clubs (and footie in general) in the last few weeks.
Here at NTK Motors we love the Beautiful Game so we see what’s going on, such as Cazoo getting into bed with the English Football League (EFL), having already spent a reported £millions to sponsor not one but two teams’ shirts, Everton and Aston Villa. Surely, they could have actually bought the entire Everton team and its Woodison ground in its entirety for that sum?
Anyway, a reported multi-year partnership has been signed between Cazoo and the EFL giving it a profile at all 72 EFL clubs and at Wembley.
The car sector’s love affair with footie doesn’t end there. Vanarama (our favourite 80s girl group) has extended its sponsorship deal with the National League and heycar has signed up ex-Spurs and England player and top Match of the Day pundit Jermaine Jenas to host its footie-themed online content.
Bring back Saint and Greavsie. On me ’ead, son.
