The TUC, amongst many others, are making a serious bid to get the minimum wage increased from the current£9.50 for people aged 23 and over to £15.
It’s an argument that has merit. More money in a worker’s pocket means more to spend, boosting the economy. On the other hand, talk to the dealers and repair shops struggling to make ends meet.
